Dubai, Jan. 29: Former Zimbabwe captain Brendon Taylor has been banned by the International Cricket Council for three-and-a-half years for failing to provide immediate information about his approach to gambling.


Last Oct. Brendan Taylor (35) recently revealed that he had received a $ 15,000 deposit for 'spot-fixing' from a business tycoon and gambling broker from India who met him in 2019 and offered to pay over $ 20,000 if he did. He said he was not involved in spot-fixing or match-fixing onear

However, the ICC announced yesterday that he would be suspended for three-and-a-half years for delaying the immediate reporting of the incident. Taylor also admitted to consuming cocaine during the meeting and was suspended for another month.
