The Department of Telecommunications has amended the rules relating to the Certificate of No Objection (NOC) for the sale of international roaming cards. As per the revised policy, customer service, contact details, payment plans and NOC


Arrangements should be made to provide information about the services provided to holders. In addition, arrangements have been made to strengthen billing and consumer grievance redressal mechanisms. The Department of Telecommunications has amended the rules relating to the Certificate of No Objection (NOC) for the sale of international roaming cards. The department said the move was aimed at improving consumer protection.

The department said that Indians going abroad will benefit from this. In addition, the processes will be synchronized with other licenses.
